Last night we attended an exclusive cocktail reception honoring the Tampa Bay Business Journalâs Coolest Office Spaces. In our third year up and running, CoWorkTampa clinched a spot as one of 20 nominees. Have A Drink On Us
Between the great company and the constant clinking of glasses that ensued throughout the night, it’s safe to say that our first Cocktail Creation Class was a huge success. Ciro’s Speakeasy and Supper Club bartender Brenda Terry danced around the room keeping everyone engaged and quenched with bourbon classics. My personal favorite was the Bourbon Old Fashioned, carefully crafted with bitters, an orange twist and topped with a cherry. For our next class, the group has overwhelmingly requested a night of gin!
Planes, Trains and Lasagna
At our Lunch & Learn event the legendary Brent Britton presented “Business Lessons From 30,000 Feet” with unwavering enthusiasm. During the hour-long talk Brent humorously compared airplane travel to starting your own business. Brent is an intellectual property lawyer in Tampa and an adjunct professor of creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship at the University of South Florida. Upstart Starts Here
Last week, CoWorkTampa was lucky enough to host the Tampa Upstart Expo, Floridaâs technology job fair. The event connects qualified professionals with emerging companies in a casual, creative environment. Over 60 registrants met with 12 innovative startups and tech companies, including LaSalle and Tekk Fusion.
